What's inside

Three tools.
One focused app.

Metronome
Lookahead-scheduled so the beat never drifts. Tap tempo, adjustable time signature, accent on beat 1. Map entire songs with different tempos for each section. Tempo ramp for building speed on difficult passages.
Chromatic Tuner
Autocorrelation-based pitch detection that reads actual instruments accurately. Instrument string presets for guitar, bass, ukulele, violin. Adjustable reference pitch (A4). Built-in pitch pipe and drone — useful for singers and wind players.
Looper
Load any recording from your library, trim to a section, and loop it with the metronome running simultaneously. Practice over your own band recordings or any song you're learning. The metronome is always visible during recording and playback.
Song Structure Map
Divide any song into named sections — intro, verse, chorus, bridge, outro — each with its own tempo. The metronome steps through them automatically, following the song from start to finish. Indispensable for rehearsal.
Tempo Ramp
Set a start and end BPM, choose how many beats per step, and let Practicer gradually accelerate. The right way to build speed on a passage that isn't quite up to tempo — methodical, not frustrating.
Built to disappear
Screen stays on while you practice. Swipe between tabs. No account required. No ads. No notifications asking you to upgrade. Practicer runs quietly in the background of your session — exactly where a tool belongs.

The details that matter.

Three tabs, each one complete. Here's what's inside each.

Precision timing,
end to end.

Most metronome apps use JavaScript's setTimeout for timing — which drifts under load. Practicer uses a lookahead scheduler: it schedules beats ahead of time through the audio engine, so the click is locked in before the CPU has a chance to stumble. The beat doesn't drift.

  • Tap tempo — tap the screen to set BPM from feel
  • Adjustable time signature — 2/4 through 12/8
  • Accent on beat 1 with optional subdivision ticks
  • Mute sound while animation keeps running — practice without click bleed in recordings
  • Song structure map — different BPM per section, plays through automatically
  • Tempo ramp — Start BPM → End BPM over a set number of measures
  • Screen stays on during active session

For every
instrument.

Most tuner apps are built for guitarists. Practicer uses autocorrelation-based pitch detection, which reads the fundamental frequency of any pitched instrument accurately — including singers, wind players, and strings. The pitch pipe and drone were added specifically because these players are underserved.

  • Chromatic tuning for any instrument
  • String presets — guitar, bass, ukulele, violin highlight the closest string
  • Reference pitch adjustment — change A4 from 440 Hz (early music, orchestral tuning)
  • Pitch pipe — play any note for reference
  • Drone — sustain a note for tuning by ear or vocal warm-ups
  • Cents deviation readout — see exactly how sharp or flat

Your recordings,
in the loop.

Load any audio file from your library — a band rehearsal, a song you're learning, your own practice recording — trim it down to the section you want to drill, and loop it with the metronome running on top. The metronome is visible at all times during recording and playback. No other app we know of does this properly.

  • Import audio from your iPhone's library or Files app
  • Visual waveform with drag handles for loop region
  • Playback with metronome overlay — BPM, beat indicator, time signature
  • Perfect for drilling a chorus you can't quite land, or playing along to a rehearsal recording
  • Loop count — set how many times to repeat before stopping

Who it's for

Built for musicians.
All of them.

Guitar & bass
The working player
Map entire setlists with per-section tempos. Loop a rehearsal recording and drill the bridge. Run the tuner between songs without leaving the app.
Voice & winds
Underserved no more
The pitch pipe and drone were built specifically for you. Tune by ear. Hold a reference note while you warm up. The tuner doesn't assume you have six strings.
Strings & keys
The methodical practicer
Tempo ramp from 80 to 120 BPM over 16 measures. Drill the passage at 60% speed until it's clean, then let the ramp do the rest. The way it's supposed to work.

  • Tempo ramp trainer
  • Chromatic tuner — all instruments
  • Pitch pipe & drone
  • Instrument string presets

We want your
honest take.

Practicer isn't released yet — you're seeing it early. We're refining the features and design before beta testing begins, and we'd genuinely value your perspective as a musician.

As you look through the site, consider:

  • 01 Does this cover what your practice sessions actually need — or is something important missing?
  • 02 Is it clear what each feature does, or does anything feel confusing from the description?
  • 03 Does the design feel right for a tool you'd use in a practice session?
  • 04 Anything else on your mind — say it.
